Delivery and Collection Service
We offer a reliable and efficient transport service to get your hire equipment to your event venue. Our dedicated fleet has different types of vehicles, so we always have the right one for the job!
When we arrive we will set your venue with everything you’ve hired from us. That includes dance floors, stages and tents as well as all your furniture and temporary kitchens.
Hire everything you need for your event with us, and let us take away your set up day stress!
What does delivery service include?
Our standard delivery service includes:
- one driver and vehicle
- to a first floor location (no stairs)
- with parking no more than 50m from the event space
- good access on paved roads
- set up your furniture according to your floor plan (please send this in advance!)
- set up and clean dance floors and stages
- drop off all boxes of tableware and bags of linen in the best location for you
- set up your temporary kitchen and test all equipment before we leave
- set up and test any heaters
How much is delivery?
Delivery fees are based on the distance of your venue from our warehouse at YO7 3SE. We charge £1.50 per loaded mile: that means one charge for the journey to your venue to deliver your items, and one charge for the journey from your venue back to the warehouse after we’ve collected everything.
Type your postcode into the checkout page for an estimate of delivery fees. If it only shows ‘collect from depot’ this is because your order does not mean our minimum hire for transport.
Minimum Hires for Transport
To remain profitable, we can only offer delivery on orders of a certain value. The minimum value depends on how far you need us to deliver:
- Journeys of a mile to 20 miles require a minimum hire order of £100 ex VAT
- Journeys between 21 and 40 miles require a minimum hire order of £250 ex VAT
- Journeys between 41 and 60 miles require a minimum hire order of £400 ex VAT
- Journeys between 61 and 80 miles require a minimum hire order of £450 ex VAT
- Journeys between 81 and 100 miles require a minimum hire order of £600 ex VAT
- Journeys between 101 and 120 miles require a minimum hire order of £750 ex VAT
- For any order with a journey of over 120 miles, we would first like to discuss your order with you.
Our minimum transport charge of £30.00 applies to journeys under 10 miles. For any orders that don’t meet our minimums, you are welcome to come and collect from our warehouse – we are located here.
Issues with the delivery service?
Every order we send is counted and checked before it leaves the warehouse. However, mistakes can happen so it’s important to check your order when it arrives.
We will always send someone out to replace anything that has not been delivered in error or that has been broken in transport – you just need to let us know.
If you need us to replace something please call (don’t email!), so we can remedy the issue as soon as possible.
If you don’t need an immediate replacement, but have found an issue, please still take a photo and send it to us via email or Whatsapp within 24 hours of your delivery. This is to ensure you are not charged for its replacement. We do not accept liability for any breakages if they are not reported to us more than 24 hours after delivery.
What do we need from you?
Delivery
All we really need is good communication! Marquee build delayed? Let us know. Is there a narrow access road? Let us know. Do you require us to bring ID to your site? Let us know!
Collections
After your event we we will dismantle all furniture, stages and dance floors, so just please ensure there is good access for us to load our vans. This includes making sure your venue buildings will be open when we arrive.
We are not able to help with your post-event clean up. When we arrive, all tableware and linen should be packed and ready to go. Please return tableware to the boxes they arrived in, and throw linen back in their bags.
If we arrive within the agreed collection time and your tables have not been cleared or tableware not packed away we will either return later, charging a second transport fee, or help you clean up, charging an extra labour fee.
To avoid extra charges, please ensure you are ready at the agreed collection time.
