About Event Heaters

When planning an event, heating is often one of those details that only gets attention once the temperature suddenly drops! But whether you’re hosting a winter wedding in a marquee, running a corporate event in a draughty venue, or organising an outdoor celebration during the unpredictable Yorkshire summer, reliable event heater hire will make a huge difference to your guests’ comfort and how smoothly your event runs. At YES Hire, we provide professional event heater hire across North Yorkshire and the North, helping caterers, marquee companies, wedding planners, and all party hosts create warm, comfortable event spaces whatever the weather decides to do.

Our marquee heaters and space heaters are specifically designed for temporary event spaces where maintaining a comfy temperature can be difficult. Marquees, barns, village halls, and large venues often lose heat quickly through open doors, canvas walls, and high ceilings, especially once guests begin moving in and out throughout the service. Our heating equipment works by continuously circulating clean, dry warm air around the space, maintaining a comfortable environment even during colder evenings or poor weather conditions. All units are thermostat controlled too, allowing the temperature to regulate automatically so your venue stays consistently comfortable without becoming overly hot or stuffy.

Our professional level heaters work discreetly alongside your event setup. Our space heaters are quiet when operating and can usually be positioned outside the main event space, meaning they won’t interfere with speeches, live music, or the overall appearance of your venue. Warm air is ducted neatly into the marquee or event space, keeping the practical equipment hidden away while still effectively heating the area. This makes them particularly popular for weddings and formal events where aesthetics matter just as much as practicality.

Event heating is also about far more than guest comfort during service itself. Pre-heating a marquee or temporary venue before guests arrive can completely transform the atmosphere of an event from the moment people walk in. Instead of guests arriving to a cold marquee waiting to warm up, the space already feels welcoming and comfortable from the beginning. Even during spring and summer events, marquee heater hire acts as valuable insurance against sudden temperature drops once the sun disappears — something anyone familiar with Yorkshire evenings will understand well.

At YES Hire, all heating equipment is carefully maintained, tested, and prepared before every hire to ensure reliable performance onsite. We regularly support weddings, marquee receptions, corporate events, and temporary event spaces throughout Yorkshire, often alongside our furniture hire, catering equipment hire, dance floor hire, and lighting hire services. Whether you need subtle background heating for a wedding marquee or powerful space heaters for a large temporary venue, our event heating hire helps create comfortable spaces where guests can relax and enjoy the occasion from start to finish.

What types of event heaters can I hire?

Our event heating range includes the powerful space heater (perfect for marquees, temporary venues and large indoor spaces ) and patio heaters (better suited for creating comfortable outdoor seating areas and sheltered gathering points). If you’re unsure which type of heater is best for your event, we’ll be happy to help!

Why should I hire event heaters?

A drop in temperature can quickly change how comfortable your guests are at your event. Hiring a temporary heater helps keep guests comfortable, encourages people to stay longer and creates a much more welcoming space. Heaters are particularly necessary during evening events or in the colder months.

Heating can also help your staff! Working in catering tents, service areas and temporary kitchens can be made more comfortable by ensuring staff are warm.

Which heater is right for my event?

The size and type of venue usually dictates the best heating option. Large enclosed spaces such as marquees, barns and temporary venues often benefit from indirect space heaters that circulate warm air throughout the building. Patio heaters are better suited to outdoor seating areas, entrances and covered spaces where guests may gather during the evening.

However, in some scenarios you may not be able to use the larger heater, which requires both diesel and an electrical power connection. Or, a venue may not allow gas powered products on site, meaning the patio heaters aren’t an option. If you’re unsure how much heating you’ll need, simply get in touch and we’ll help you choose suitable equipment.

Can I hire event heaters in Yorkshire?

Yes, right here! YES Hire supplies event heaters throughout Yorkshire, the North East and surrounding areas. Our team will deliver the equipment, position it correctly and make sure everything is operating before your event begins. They are also happy to give instruction on the use of the heaters, as long as someone is there to meet them on site.

How much does it cost to hire a heater?

The cost depends on the type and number of heaters you require. Smaller outdoor heaters are available for intimate gatherings, while larger space heaters can warm marquees and temporary venues. The space heater runs on diesel and will use more depending on how long and how hot it is running. Gas patios can be provided gas at an additional cost, or you may already have your own. Please see the individual product pages for pricing or contact us for a quotation.

Are your heaters suitable for marquees?

Yes. Our space heaters are regularly used to heat marquees, canopy tents, barns and other temporary event spaces. The heater itself remains outside, up to 10m away from the tent, while warm, clean air is ducted into the venue, helping maintain a comfortable temperature without taking up valuable space indoors.

Do your event heaters need electricity or gas?

This depends on the heater you choose. Our space heaters require both an electric a power supply and use diesel to generate clean, dry heat. Patio heaters run using LPG gas bottles. We’ll explain exactly what’s required when you book and make sure everything is ready before we leave.

Will the heaters be set up for us?

Yes. As part of our delivery service, we’ll position the heaters, connect everything correctly and make sure they’re working as expected before your event gets underway. We’ll also explain how to adjust the controls if needed.

Why hire an event heater instead of buying it?

Professional heating equipment is expensive to buy and often only needed occasionally. Hiring allows you to add reliable temporary heating whenever it’s required, without worrying about servicing, fuel storage or transporting large equipment between events.

How long can I hire event heaters for?

Our standard hire period is up to five days, giving you plenty of time to warm the venue before guests arrive and keep it toasty for staff clearing up. If your event or project requires heating for longer, simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to arrange an extended hire where stock is available.

How much fuel does a marquee heater use?

Our 45kW indirect space heaters are supplied with a full tank of diesel, providing up to 16 hours of continuous heating when running at maximum output. In most situations, the thermostat automatically regulates the heater, so fuel consumption is often lower than the maximum rate.

Can patio heaters be used in the rain?

Patio heaters are designed for outdoor use, but they should not be used during severe weather. Winds can also affect how useful the heat produced is!

For the safest operation, we recommend using patio heaters in open, well-ventilated spaces, beneath suitable shelter. If poor weather is expected, our marquee heaters are often a better option for keeping guests warm.
