At 8″ (20cm) across these white plates are a versatile size that lend themselves to being used for starters, desserts or as slightly larger sides. It’s an ideal size for use as a bread and butter plate, used alongside mini ramekin and small knife, or as a mains plate for children.
The simple design, that matches the rest of our standard range, is made of fully vitrified porcelain, so if you’re looking to avoid damage you won’t have to worry about these. The vitrification process means that even if your guests get a bit over-enthusiastic with their cutlery, chips and scratches shouldn’t occur.
Finally, just like the rest of our standard range, this 8 inch plate is white: a blank canvas for your culinary masterpieces. If you’re thinking brightly coloured salads or dark desserts a white plate behind them allows the food to speak for itself.
Any of our range of cutlery can be used alongside this plate, although we’d probably go for a small fork and dessert spoon for the sweets, swapping out the spoon for those savoury starters.
