At 9″ (23m) across these 9” white bowls are perfect for starters and desserts or as a soup plate. The curve of the bowl contains your starter or dessert in a small area, and so it is ideal for menu items featuring a sauce that might otherwise unattractively spread out. As with the rest of our wide-rimmed crockery range, the 9” bowl is white, providing a blank canvas for your culinary masterpiece. Perhaps a deep orange pumpkin soup, or a dark sticky toffee pudding, all surrounded by brilliant white.
If serving hot meals such as soups, the curved bowl keeps heat contained so meals stay toasty on the table for longer. The wide rim comes into its own here, providing a slightly cooler area for staff and guests alike to safely handle their meal. Because the bowl is made of fully vitrified porcelain, you won’t have to worry about accidental damage either. The vitrification process means that even if your guests get a bit over-enthusiastic with their soup spoons, chips and scratches shouldn’t occur.
