Hire our 8.5″ (22cm) Scorched Coupe Bowl – part of our Scorched Range, or on it’s own for a stand out individual piece! The Scorched Coupe Bowl, with its gently curved shape and textured finish, is an eye-catching choice, in a neutral colour – perfect for any table setting. The distinctive scorched-style glaze, creates a striking contrast against colourful dishes, making it ideal for everything from fresh salads to bright desserts.
Whilst a traditional wide-rimmed plate (like our black contrast plate, for example) uses a rim to provide a frame for your creations, the coupe style of this Scorched Coupe Bowl does not have a separate rim. Instead, the patterned edge provides a framing element, with the bowl itself consisting of a single surface. This lack of rim maximises the usable space of this relatively small plate – for events where table space is limited, but you need a generous plating area, this is the perfect option.
The Scorched bowl can also be used as a serving bowl, and is especially ideal for courses where multiple smaller dishes are to be served on the table, tapas style. The curving sides also make it a good choice for those dishes where sauces and gravy may need to be contained! If you’re looking for a bigger bowl for serious-sized mains, our 12″ bowl might be one to consider.
The whole Scorched range is crafted from vitrified porcelain, making it highly durable and resistant to chipping. This means even enthusiastic diners will have trouble marking the finish, meaning that highly polished plates are delivered to your event every time. Because the finish is fully glazed to provide protection against stains and scratches, it is also dishwasher proof and microwave proof – this range is not just a pretty picture but designed with serious commercial catering in mind.
As with all our crockery, we hire out Scorched Coupe Bowls to be delivered in carefully packed boxes, to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. They are washed, and stored carefully to ensure you receive pristine tableware, ready for the table.
