Description
Our catering flooring is used in outdoor catering spaces such as marquees and canopy tents. This essential addition to temporary kitchens serves several purposes to help make your kitchen set-up a safer and cleaner environment.
Firstly, adding the flooring helps to flatten out undulating surfaces (or plant tussocks in the case of field kitchens!), reducing any possible trip hazards when working with hot food. Flattening the ground surface means any wheeled kitchen equipment, like banquet line hot cupboards and our LPG gas ovens, can be moved easily. It also means that your kitchen equipment won’t be leaning at an angle, allowing your chefs to work in comfort.
Each piece of flooring is completely drainable, with 12mm holes throughout, which allow any spilled liquid to penetrate to the surface below without pooling on your workspace floor. This both eliminates the risk of slipping and helps keep a cleaner working environment which can be quickly swept clear. Slip risk is further reduced by the raised grips on the catering floor surface.
Each piece measures 1m x 1m and we can arrange these pieces to whatever size you require. Just let us know your requirements, and we will be happy to help. The pieces are hired out per 1m square. A common catering tent size is 6m x 6m. For a tent this size you would need to add 36 pieces of flooring to your basket to cover the space adequately.
