Description

The Serpentine Table is designed to make a statement. With its distinctive curved shape, it moves away from traditional straight or round layouts and instead introduces flow, movement, and a sense of creativity into your event design. Whether you’re planning a wedding, gala dinner, or styled shoot, these tables are made to stand out—transforming standard seating plans into something far more considered and visually striking.

What sets the serpentine apart is its versatility. Each table can be used individually, or combined to create sweeping S-shapes, semi-circles, or long, flowing banquet layouts that guide guests naturally through the space. This flexibility makes it a favourite for top tables, statement dining arrangements, or even creative buffet and display setups. As highlighted on the original product page, they’re ideal for creating unique layouts such as S-shapes, semi-circles, and flowing banquet arrangements, bringing a real sense of fluidity to your venue.

Compared to more traditional options like the Round Banqueting Table or the Trestle Table, serpentine tables offer something more dynamic. Where straight tables create structure, these introduce softness and movement—perfect for couples or planners looking to break away from uniform rows and create a more organic, design-led layout. They also pair beautifully with both styles, allowing you to mix shapes across your space while keeping a cohesive overall look.

Visually, the curved form creates an immediate focal point. Whether used as a sweeping head table or repeated across a dining space, the shape draws the eye and adds depth to your setup. It’s a subtle way to elevate your event styling without needing excessive décor, as the tables themselves do much of the work. This makes them particularly effective in larger venues, where you want to create impact and guide the flow of the room.

Despite their standout appearance, serpentine tables are just as practical as they are stylish. Designed to seat small groups comfortably, they can be arranged to suit your guest numbers while maintaining a premium finish. Their standard height and proportions also mean they work seamlessly with your choice of linens and place settings, ensuring a polished and professional look throughout.

As with all our table hire, we handle delivery, setup, and collection, so you can focus on the creative side of planning. Whether you’re designing a soft, romantic layout or a bold, contemporary tablescape, the Serpentine Table offers a unique foundation that brings your vision to life.

You can make a quote request by building a basket here – just like any other website! At checkout rather than paying anything you’ll just send a quote request through to our team. They will look at it and send back a full quote, or let you know if there is any reason why we cant help. This shouldn’t take more than one working day. If you want some more information before asking for a quote, try out ‘Understanding our Fees’ page.

Just send an email or call the office. We understand that event requirements change a lot in the weeks and days leading up to a big event, so don’t worry about tweaking numbers a few times before finalising your order. If your change is very last-minute, please call rather than email as we can get very busy.

In instances where your delivery has already left the warehouse, we will unfortunately not be able to complete any changes without incurring a further delivery fee.

No! We understand that setting up for an event, and clearing up afterwards can take a long time so our hire period is for up to FIVE days, not including delivery and collection day.
For example, you can request us to deliver to you on Thursday, giving you Friday, Saturday and Sunday to enjoy your event, and then have us collect everything on Monday.

However, how far we will go depends on your order size. We have delivered extra large orders to addresses in Scotland and in Wales before, but if you are making a small order it may be that we can offer it as collection only.

See our Deliveries and Collections pages for further info.

We charge £1.50 per mile from our warehouse to your venue. There is one charge for delivery, and one for collection.

This price includes the set up and breakdown of any furniture, stages, heaters, dance floors, tents and kitchen equipment. We deliver crockery and cutlery packed in boxes and will leave these in the ost convenient place to you.

 2. Request a Quote. Fill out your information at ‘check out’ and we will send you a free and no-obligation quote accurately tailored to your specific needs. We only ask for information we need to give a true quote, which may differ slightly from what you see in the basket depending on your needs.

3. Receive your quote. Once we’ve seen your quote we will check we can complete your request, and make any amendments required to the quote. Please allow one working day to receive your quote.

4. Discuss your quote with us! We are a friendly team and ready to talk through any aspect of your quote with you. Just let us know what you need, or if there is anything you need to query.

5. Confirm your hire. At this point, if you’re happy with the quote, we will send you a hire agreement to confirm your hire, reserving your items for you. The signature is all we need, with payment due up to two weeks before your hire.
